The Flying Start Guide details the processes that were involved in designing the original activities and in coordinating the project. It identifies the key features of Flying Start and the way in which it was achieved at the University of Huddersfield.
Flying Start was first launched in September 2017 with 8 courses and approximately 900 students.
The second iteration for 2018 saw a significant up-scaling of the intervention and there were 34 courses and an estimated 2800 students involved.
In 2021 we have over 200 courses timetabling Flying Start as part of creating a community of inquiry as we welcome all our new students to the University.
