1. Adding and Modifying Content to modules in Unilearn:

Aim: 
To familiarise participants with UniLearn and the benefits it can afford staff and students. Enable learners to develop the hands-on skills needed to upload and modify content effectively in their modules.

2. Communication Tools and User Management in Unilearn:

Aim: 
To familiarise participants with UniLearn and the benefits it can afford staff and students. To supply learners with the hands-on skills needed to effectively use the communication tools embedded in UniLearn and enrol other staff members as instructors or teaching assistants.

3. Using Multimedia to enhance learning:

Aim: 
To familiarise participants with the benefits multimedia can bring to their pedagogical practice. To enable learners to develop the hands-on skills needed to upload and modify content effectively in their modules.

4.Using groups and adaptive release to control content publication:

Aim: 
To familiarise participants with the groups and adaptive release in UniLearn and understand the benefits this can bring to their teaching and learning by controlling how and when content is released to students. Participants will also learn how to target content and communication to specific groups of students within their cohort.

5. Setting up Turnitin submission point and understanding the Originality Report:

Aim: 
To familiarise participants with setting up Turnitin in order that students can submit assignment electronically, and be able to fully understand the originality report in order to make a judgement on plagiarism and academic writing style.

6. Introduction to UniConnect (2-part course):

Aim: 
To familiarise staff with UniConnect, the University's webinar and virtual classroom tool and to explore good practice in the design and delivery of synchronous teaching and learning sessions.

7. Paperless marking with GradeMark

Aim: 
To familiarise staff with the basic features of GradeMark including setting up assignments within Unilearn and electronically marking the submitted student assignments.

8. Advanced UniConnect - Managing your UniConnect Sessions:

Aim: 
To introduce participants to some of the more advanced features of setting up and managing UniConnect sessions. UniConnect is the University's webinar and virtual classroom software.

Aim: 
To introduce participants to using the application share feature of UniConnect, the University's webinar and virtual classroom software.

10. Advanced UniConnect - Using Breakout Rooms:

Aim: 
To introduce participants to setting up, using, and managing breakout rooms with students within UniConnect, the University's webinar and virtual classroom software.

11. Introduction to Building High Quality Screencast Lectures:

Aim: 
To familiarise participants with the pedagogical principles behind using screencast in Higher Education, understand the copyright issues involved and develop the technical skills to build them and embed them in Unilearn

To enable staff to acquire the skills required to create, edit and produce screencasts and online lectures using Camtasia Studio Software.

To familiarise participants with the UniTube Video Streaming software and how it can be used in a teaching and learning context.
